How to Enable form prefill in Real-time Journeys (PREVIEW).

Microsoft has enabled form to prefill in Customer Insights – Journeys (PREVIEW).

This was a feature readily available in Outbound Marketing but know we can access it in Customer Insights -Journeys (Real-time Marketing).

What do they mean by Preview?

A preview feature is a feature that is not complete but is made available before it’s officially released so customers can get early access and provide feedback. Preview features aren’t meant for production use and may have limited or restricted functionality.

The form prefill feature is where a customer’s known values (Like Name, Surname, Email address etc.) are automatically filled in on a form.

There are few steps to set up the form prefill:

  • Enable the form prefill feature in Feature switches section of Settings

Settings > Feature switches >Enable Form prefill (preview)

Don’t forget to save.

• Enable your domain for form prefill

• Configure prefill in the form editor

On the form, enabling the form prefill on the settings enables all the fields on the form. You can choose the field you want form prefilled by turning it on or off.

• To Test

o I created a Form (Demo)
o The form created a Marketing Page – Page url –

  • I filled in submitted values and submitted the form
  • I created an email
  • On the email, I added the Marketing Page url link to a button

• I created a Journey with a Trigger (Marketing Form Submitted) to Send Email

• I received an email. By clicking the Form button on the email, the form will always be prefilled with the submitted values.
